DETECTIVES investigating the murder of a motorcyclist have made a second arrest.

Luke Fleming was taken to hospital after the crash, in Cleggs Lane, Little Hulton, on Saturday, May 11, but died six days later as a result of his injuries.

Officers were called to the road at 9pm after receiving reports that a blue Fiat Sedici had collided with two men on a black motorcycle.

A 23-year-old man, who was also on the motorbike, was later found and treated for minor injuries.

The driver and occupants of the Fiat ran fled the scene before police arrived.

A murder investigation was launched and a 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

He was bailed pending further enquiries.

Yesterday, an 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody for questioning.

Detectives are continuing to appeal for any witnesses or anyone with any information to get in touch as soon as possible.
