A MAN has been charged in connection with an assault outside a Bromley Cross pub which has left a man with serious head injuries.
The incident happened outside The Flag Inn, in Arnold Road, shortly before 11.30pm on Friday evening.
A 69-year-old man was taken to hospital where he is receiving treatment.
He is understood to be in an induced coma.
Billy-Jason Frederick Lavender, aged 23, of Fern Street, Farnworth has now been charged with grievous bodily harm in connection with the incident.
He has been remanded to appear at Bolton Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.
A scene was in place outside the pub throughout yesterday, while patrols were also stepped up in the area.
