Llanidloes Road in Newtown has reopened to traffic after it was closed for several hours by a lorry colliding into a railway bridge.
According to Dyfed Powys Police, the HGV carrying hay bales collided with Nantoer Bridge at around 12.50 today, Thursday May 23.
The road remained closed while rail engineers carry out an inspection of the bridge and debris was cleared from the scene.
An update from Newtown police advised that the road would be closed for "a few hours" while safety checks were carried out.
