A DIY store in the final throes of trading is inviting would-be customers to make them an offer they can’t refuse.

The Silver Star store in Subway Road, in Barry, needs to clear all stock urgently, at any price.

Everyone is invited to visit the store and make offers for any of more than 200 wallpapers.

You can choose from colours and patterns for every room in the home, including kitchens and bathrooms and children’s designs.

For bathrooms, there are stone shower trays and shower screens for which almost no offer will be refused.

Some front doors and interior doors from the in-store displays, plenty of packs of nails, screws, and many other handy items, some door locks, a few letter boxes and adjustable shelving systems.

There are also kitchen cupboards, which could also be used as a handy cupboard in any room – or the garage.

And there are lots of curtain rails.

Silver Star co-owner David Sylvester said: “This is the last gesture of thanks we can make to our many customers and friends for all their support to my brother Terry and I, over so many years, and, to the past generations of families who had their homes decorated by the Sylvester’s business that began in Barry 127 years ago.”

The store is in Subway Road, opposite the Barry Dock office's clock.

It will be open for all offers from 9am on Friday, open all day Saturday, and next week, except for Sunday.
