YOUNGSTERS, and adults, showed off their creative talents to take part in Barry's annual High Street Easter parade on Saturday, April 20.
The children showed off their homemade headgear and walked the street, greeted by traders, before gathering in The Borough Arms to await the prize-giving decisions.
Vale MP Alun Cairns and Vale AM united to judge who was worthy of the chocolate eggs, but all went home with a sweet surprise.
Bob Armstrong, of Doctor Bob's Balloons, was the host at the High Street Traders Association event.
And he presented the prizes following the judges' deliberations.
Ms Hutt said: "It feel like the best ever and I would like to thank Bob and the traders in High Street and The Borough Arms.
"It's really important to keep these traditions."
Mr Cairns added: "The High Street is a fantastic place to shop."
The children followed the judging by taking part in a High Street word search.
