TWIN brothers Rhys and Gerald Horler of Barry have embraced Christmas in August as part of a seasonal advertising campaign.

The actors, of Highlight Park, Barry, filmed a Christmas advert in London which is earmarked for a supermarket Christmas campaign with their performance appearing on television, YouTube, bus shelters and billboards in the run-up to the festive season.

The Horlers, 35, passed two auditions to then ad-lib a comedy routine which centred around food.

Rhys said: “They were looking for twins and they liked our personalities.

“We added humour and bounced off each other, with the director.

“We filmed it for more than three-and-a-half hours.

“It was all very intense, but a lot of fun.

“It’s going to have an autumn release.”

Mr Horler said he was also going to begin running acting screen acting master classes for adults, in Barry and Cardiff, which would have a fun, friendly atmosphere, and assist those who were keen to get into the industry.

The classes would also focus on directing and producing.

Mr Horler began acting when he was 18 years old and he won the London Hall of Fame Actor of the Year award for the film he wrote - Pure Bloodlines: Blood Is Thicker Than Water.

The acting and film-producing duo began their artistic careers using iPhones.

The twins’ movie first made its mark at the San Francisco-based The iPhone Film Festival, designed to show talent and creativity, in early 2013.

Their vampire hunters action comedy horror Pure Bloodlines: Blood Is Thicker Than Water “no-budget” phone foot movie was issued world-wide, by AmazonLOVEFiLM on DVD and IMDb.

The brothers have always thought the Pure Bloodlines series was also a natural comic world fit and previously set-up a crowdfunding site to help raise £500 needed to go to print press for the six-book series.
