BARRY Comprehensive School’s Year 9 basketball squad faced Cowbridge Comprehensive in the Cardiff & Vale School Basketball Association U-14s final held at Cardiff Metropolitan University.
After winning all of their group matches, and beating Cardiff High in the semis, the squad was determined to finish the job.
After a slow start the squad started to demonstrate high levels of intensity on defence and offence.
Logan Harding scored 10 straight points to give Barry a healthy 16-0 first quarter lead.
Ollie Bradley and Marshall Harding were a constant threat for the remaining quarters and helped extend the lead.
Also special mentions must to go to Keaton Bailey, Harrison Hooper and Albin Hewak who scored points in the second half to push the lead even further and help Barry Comprehensive produce an impressive final score of 56-16.
Congratulations to the squad and coach Leighton Coles on becoming Cardiff & Vale champions.
