THE following cases were heard at Cardiff and Vale Magistrates’ Court, sitting in Cardiff.

Nicholas Campbell, aged 39, of Jenner Road, Barry, pleaded guilty to breaching the terms of a restraining order and committing a further offence while in the operational period of a suspended sentence. He was sentenced to 16 weeks in prison and ordered to pay a £115 victim surcharge and £85 in court costs.

Andrew Pearson, aged 48, of Holton Road, Barry, pleaded guilty to breaching the terms of a restraining order. He was ordered to carry out 100 hours unpaid work and to pay an £85 victim surcharge and £85 in court costs.

Sophie Close, aged 29, of Woodlands Road, Barry, pleaded guilty to drink driving. She was banned from driving for 19 months and fined £347, as well as being ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £85 in court costs.

Michael Reeves, aged 38, of Holton Road, Barry, pleaded guilty to assault by beating. He was ordered to carry out 50 hours unpaid work and to pay an £85 victim surcharge and £85 in court costs.

Hannah Hyde, aged 31, of Parkland Walk, Barry, pleaded guilty to three counts of theft, breaching the terms of a community order and committing further offences while in the operational period of a suspended sentence. She was sentenced to 14 weeks in prison and ordered to pay £92.99 in compensation, and a £115 victim surcharge.

Geraint Vater, aged 32, of Gwennog Court, Barry, pleaded guilty to drink driving. He was banned from driving for 18 months and was fined £250, as well as being ordered to pay a £30 victim surcharge and £85 in court costs.

Louis Taylor, aged 35, of Vincent Close, Barry, pleaded guilty to three counts of theft, driving without insurance and riding a motorbike without a helmet. He was banned from driving for six months. He was fined £80 and ordered to pay an £85 victim surcharge, £85 in court costs and £155 compensation.

Tammi Owen, aged 47, of Aneurin Road, Barry, pleaded guilty to keeping an untaxed vehicle. She was fined £140 and ordered to pay £55.42 in vehicle excise back duty and £85 in court costs.

Ben Lewis, aged 42, of Robert Street, Barry, pleaded guilty to two counts of theft. He was fined £120 and ordered to pay £69 compensation, a £30 victim surcharge and £85 in court costs.

Sean Peck, aged 31, of Kingsland Crescent, Barry, pleaded guilty to theft. He was fined £100 and ordered to pay a £30 victim surcharge and £85 in court costs.

Jason Harry, aged 26, of Lougher Place, St Athan, admitted breaching the terms of a supervision requirement following his release from prison. He was sentenced to 14 days in prison.
