BARRY’S champion featherweight boxer Lee Selby and his flyweight boxing brother Andrew officially launched Barry’s newest eaterie last weekend.

IBF World title-holder Lee officially opened the Sausage Revolution, on the Atlantic Way Trading Estate, on Saturday, January 27 and unanimously declared the Diablo sausage as “the best he had ever tasted”.

Lee Selby said: “It is the best I’ve ever eaten. I’ll definitely be coming back and bringing the family down.

“I like to support a local family businesses in Barry like this.

“It’s got a great atmosphere and it’s good for Barry town.”

Brother Andrew said they would have to enjoy their food as a treat due to their training diet requirements, but added: “I’m definitely bringing the kids down.”

The restaurant, opened by Hot Diggity Dog sauce entrepreneur Simon which so far employs around seven staff,

Mrs Williams said: “I am delighted when new businesses are successful and I wanted to support Simon on his opening day.”

Barry mayor, Cllr Nic Hodges and mayoress, Cllr Shirley Hodges also attended the opening.

Opening hours have now been extended.

The restaurant is open Sunday to Wednesday from 8am to 4pm and Thursday to Saturday from 8am to 8pm.
