A SERIES of briefing sessions for councillors and would-be councillors will be held ahead of the forthcoming local government elections on May 4.
The Vale of Glamorgan Council’s returning officer, Debbie Marles will welcome all to a series of candidates and agents briefing sessions at the Civic Offices, in Holton Road, Barry, later this month, and early next month.
A presentation covering the election timetable and processes, nominations, electoral registration and absent voting arrangements will be delivered.
All sessions are open to current councillors and all potential candidates, and provide an opportunity for those wishing to ask various questions relating to the poll.
Sessions will be held at the Civic Offices, Holton Road, Barry, in committee room two from 2pm to 4pm on Thursday, February 23, and in committee room one from 6.30pm to 8.30pm on the same date.
A further session will take place in the council chamber at the Civic Offices from 9.30am to 11.30pm on Friday, March 3.
