THE Pirate River Log Flume at Barry Island Pleasure Park has proved a hit with fairground fans, before it has even opened.
The £1.2 million two-shute attraction is currently undergoing rigorous testing before health and safety officials sign it off for public use.
The Danter family are running the logs through the water to ensure that the weight applied, over a continuous amount of time, renders the structure one hundred per cent safe.
Showman Henry Danter is hoping the attraction will be running in time for the Easter break later this month.
