MONMOUTHSHIRE Building Society has strengthened its growing network of High Street branches and agencies with the opening of an agency at Watts & Morgan Estate Agents based in Penarth.

Located at 3 Washington Buildings, Stanwell Road, Penarth, the new agency is the latest addition to the growing network of Monmouthshire Building Society agencies and branches, offering the society’s competitive range of savings accounts to customers in and around the Penarth area, coupled with a personal approach to customer service.

Andrew Lewis, chief executive of Monmouthshire Building Society, said: “As a regional building society, owned by and for our members, we remain committed to offering a first class customer-focused experience, supported by a wide range of competitive products.

"In contrast to other financial institutions, we place a tremendous amount of value in providing a strong High Street presence, and our customers and their communities are at the heart of everything we do.”

He continued: “It’s incredible to consider that Watts & Morgan was founded in 1857, some 12 years before the society’s inception, and in that time they’ve earned a highly esteemed reputation as one of the oldest and most respected chartered surveyors, auctioneers, valuers and estate agents in Wales.

"We are delighted to be joining forces with them to further extend the availability of our competitive products and services, embarking on a new relationship between two trusted locally based institutions.”

Hopkin Joseph, one of Watts & Morgan’s Partners, welcomes the addition of Monmouthshire Building Society’s products and services.

He said: “Both organisations pride themselves in providing the highest levels of customer service possible. Watts & Morgan has developed strong relationships with local residents and clients, and we are delighted to offer the savings products and services of a trusted mutual financial institution as an alternative to those provided by high-street banks.”

He continued, “Our experienced team, led by our Nick Jones, head of residential sales, look forward to extending the society’s focus upon excellent customer service, and we welcome both existing and new customers in the Penarth area and beyond to come in and find out about the range of savings products available.”
