MACMILLAN Cancer Support’s mobile bus service will visit Barry next week to offer information and support to people affected by cancer.

Bertie bus and the team will be at King Square on Thursday, July 23.

Services will be open on Bertie bus from 10am to 4pm.

A team of information and support specialists will be on board to offer free, confidential advice and support to anyone with a concern or a question relating to cancer.

No appointment is necessary and anyone is welcome.

Manager for Macmillan Cancer Support in Wales Susan Morris said: “More than 4,710 people in the Vale of Glamorgan are living with or beyond cancer.

“At Macmillan, we know how a cancer diagnosis can affect everything and we’re here to support you.

“If you have any worries or questions about cancer, whether it’s about you, a relative or friend, come and talk to our team during Bertie’s visit to Barry”

As treatments improve, more and more people are living with cancer in their daily lives, in the Vale, 805 people are diagnosed with cancer each year.
