ON Friday, September 26 Karen Jones, deputy playgroup leader at KiddieWinkles Playgroup held a Macmillan coffee morning at Crossway Methodist Church and a total of £275.31 was raised for Macmillan Cancer Support. It was lovely to see so many familiar faces catching up with one another over coffee and cake.
Jayne Eldridge, KiddieWinkles manager, won first prize in our raffle and was delighted to receive a coffee morning hamper full of goodies.
Everyone knows someone who has been affected by cancer and Macmillan nurses are there to provide support from the moment of diagnosis, through treatment and beyond. “No one should face cancer alone”.
A big thank you goes out to all the staff at KiddieWinkles who helped out on the morning and to everyone who attended and supported us with kind donations of yummy cakes and raffle prizes, to help make this Macmillan coffee morning a huge success.
