THE annual Walk of Witness will once again take place on Good Friday, April 18.
The Vale Mayor and her consort, Vale AM Jane Hutt and Vale MP Alun Cairns will be among those walking the event – The way of the cross: reflections on the passion of Christ from the churches of Barry.
The Good Friday Walk of Witness will begin at the Parade Gardens, opposite the Ship Hotel, at 12 midday with walkers reaching the final station at King Square around 1.30pm.
Station one is at the Parade Gardens: Gethsemane, read by Rev Clive Jones.
Station two is at Barry Railway Station Trial Before Pilate, address by Father Ben Andrews.
Station three is at The One Stop Store: Simon of Cyrene, by Father Pat O'Gorman.
Station four will be at AG Adams Funeral Home: Women of Jerusalem, read by Rev Peter Taylor.
Station five: the final station will be at King Square: Crucifixion, read by Mike Holmes
33 white balloons will be released at the Square after the final reading.
Hot Cross Buns will be passed around to anyone wishing to enjoy one or refreshments are available at the Tabernacle Welsh Church for refreshments.
The Churches of Barry wish everyone a very Happy Easter.
