Lucy Porter's brand new comedy show People Person comes to Newport this weekend.

People Person is based around a fascinating true story with a stunning twist in the tale.

Along the way, the thirtysomethingmumof ‘Irish twins’ (not Jedward thankfully) brings us her hilarious stand up observations.

“It’s always a delight to cross the bridge into Wales,” Lucy recently told Andy Howells, “I’ve had some of my best gigs in Wales at places like the Cardiff Glee, and it’s nice to be back doing my own show.”

“I also had one of the most terrifying experiences of my life in Wales. I was playing a little club in Swansea and booked into a B and B that only cost £10, which was cheap even at the time.

“It turned out that the B and B was run by the most drunk and dysfunctional family you’ve ever met.

“I got back to my room at about 11, and stayed up terrified all night as I listened to them have a raucous party downstairs.

“They kept coming up and knocking on my door trying to persuade me to come down and join them.

“I jammed a chair under the door and left when they finally all fell into bed drunk at about 6 am.”

In her new show Lucy tackles the big subjects; happiness, home shopping, friendship and the psychological impact of daytime TV’s Dom Littlewood.

It’s a feel-good night of comedy that will appeal to audiences of all ages.
