PUNK ain't dead and it's coming to Newport.

The Newport and New Wave Festival is coming to The Neon, on Clarence Place, between 1pm and 11pm on November 3.

Today SHAM 69 - also known as the Hersham Boys - were announced to rock out on stage at the event, organised by Solid Entertainments.

Rock legends, The Rezillos, will also be smashing it on stage, following on from their UK tour which includes a gig in Bristol's Thekla theatre on September 14.

Merthyr Tydfil boys, Foreign Legion, will also be playing - keep your eyes peeled, because many more acts are to be announced.

Anyone is welcome to the event, but anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable, with no duplicates for lost or stolen tickets.

Flags, weapons, food and drink - excluding small sealed water bottles - are not allowed in the venue and guests may be searched at the door.

Early bird tickets are available now for £23. You can purchase them at www.solidentertainments.com/punk/newport/tickets.html
