BARRY Tourist Railway will once again be operating their Easter Bunny Trains from Barry Island this Easter.

Managing Director of the railway, John Buxton, announced the news, with trains starting on Friday, April 14 until Monday, April 17.

All children travelling will receive a free Lindt chocolate Easter bunny or soft toy.

The Military Museum and cafe will be open on all four days as well.

Huge improvements have been made to the visitor facilities at Barry Island over recent years by the Local Authorities, Henry Danter, Marcos and the Barry Tourist Railway, to name but a few.

More special events are also taking place on the Island.

Talking about the event, Mr Buxton said: “Barry Tourist Railway will be operating a 40 minute ‘out-and-back’ journey from Barry Island Station at 11.35, 13.10, 14.10 and 15.10hrs each day over the weekend, including a guided tour around the railway depot where our vintage trains are maintained and refurbished.

"So, come along, enjoy the ride and take a look behind the scenes of a working heritage railway.”

There is no need to book, families are invited to just turn up.
