ON Saturday, November 15 why not bring the grandchildren along to The Senior Health Shop, Holton Road, Barry for a Teddy Bears Picnic. From 10am until midday join in with the Age Connect Cardiff and Vale picnic and coffee morning.

There will be a wide range of new and good quality children’s clothes with very reasonable prices as well as toys and soft toys.

Admission is free and all children will receive a free lolly. There will be refreshments available, a cake stall and a raffle.

All proceeds of the event will go to Age Connect Senior Health Shop, donations of toys and clothes for the event will be greatly appreciated.

The next Art Central FRIENDS talk is on Thursday, November 20 at 7.30pm at the Art Central Gallery. The two speakers, photographer Jon Pountney and ceramicist Tracey Baker are currently exhibiting their work under the title ‘Remembering the Great War’. Anyone is welcome to attend and the doors open at 7pm. Refreshments will be servced.
