The deadline is looming for Jet2 passengers who wish to change their booking without paying an admin fee.

The Leeds-based airline, which flies from a number of airports across the UK to desinations in Europe and beyond, previously extended the deadline for holidaymakers to postpone their travel plans for free.

When are Jet2 flights resuming?

Jet2 are set to recommence their flights programme on Wednesday, June 17, 2020.

What can passengers do if their flight has been cancelled?

A statement on Jet2's website says: "If we’ve cancelled your flight(s), you can simply change your booking to a later departure date and you won’t have to pay an admin fee.

"All you have to do is log in to Manage My Booking and make the change before midnight on May 31, 2020 – we've extended the date due to popular demand! So join thousands of others and change your flight(s) today.

"We’re proactively contacting all affected customers about their options, in departure date order, which we think is the fairest way. Please be patient with us as we do this and remember that we’ll get in touch with you.

"If you’ve made a booking that’s currently unaffected and you would like to either amend it or cancel, this will be in line with our terms and conditions."

Which airports do Jet2 fly from in the UK?

The airline flies from Birmingham, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, London Stansted, Manchester and Newcastle.

Company reviewed in new survey

On Monday, May 18, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays were recognised as the best airline and best tour operator in the UK for how the company have been treating customers in response to the Covid-19 pandemic - accoridng to a new survey.

More than 27,000 travel customers responded to MoneySavingExpert.com's (MSE) ‘coronavirus travel survey’, which asked for their rating, feedback and experiences dealing with 81 airlines and travel firms due to problems arising from coronavirus. Companies were then ranked by subtracting the percentage who had a poor experience from those who had a great experience with the company.

The survey revealed that Jet2holidays had a positive score of +54, the highest ranked tour operator in the list and the fourth highest company overall. 

Jet2.com was ranked as the best airline, with a score of +47 which put them fifth overall. 

The travel restrictions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic have resulted in their fleet of aircraft having to be grounded.
