WALES manager Chris Coleman says the time has come for his players to finally end the nation’s long wait to qualify for a major tournament.

Coleman’s team were denied the party they craved as Israel held out for a 0-0 draw in Cardiff last month.

But one point from their remaining two qualifiers – in Bosnia & Herzegovina on October 10 and at home to Andorra on October 13 – will seal a place at Euro 2016.

If Wales do get over the line it will secure a first major finals for the country since the 1958 World Cup.

“It would have been the perfect way to break that 57- or 58-year itch at home in the capital with a full house,” said Coleman of the Israel match.

“If we’d taken a point in Cyprus and three against Israel everybody would have said that’s a great camp.

“Because we took the three points first we were within touching distance. We were so close but it wasn’t to be.

“I was as flat as anybody else for a few days. But when you look at it we took another four points from the camp and that pushed us even closer to where we need to be.

“And now we’ve got two games to get a point. If you rewind to the start of the campaign and somebody offered you that you would take that.”

Gareth Bale and David Edwards are included in the squad after recovering from injury and Joe Ledley and Joe Allen both return after they were sidelined for the last two qualifiers.

“It’s in our hands and that’s all we’ve ever wanted, that’s all we’ve ever asked for,” said Coleman.

“One more push from this group of players and I’m fully confident, as I have been all campaign.

“I said these boys would do something special and nothing has changed my mind.

“The time is upon us now and we’ve got to go and do it.

“We’ve got to go and produce. We’ve put ourselves in a great position and now we’ve got to finish it off.”

Not that Coleman is expecting an easy night in Bosnia.

“It’s all or nothing for Bosnia; they need to beat us if they’re going to get that third spot.

“So we’ll be expecting a bit of a tear-up out there.

“We’ll meet them, like we have every other team in this campaign, head on and we’ll be going there to get three points.”
