BARRY Town United Ladies U13s were made to come from behind to away to Tredegar on Sunday (February 25) afternoon, with a dominant second-half display earning the visitors a 3-1 win.

Despite conceding an early goal inside the first minute of the match, the girls rallied to equalise after 25 minutes through Ruby Hamed-Jones.

The second-half saw an imperious display from the Barry girls, who added two more unanswered goals from Faith Mulenga and Rhian Thomas to seal the tie.

Barry goalkeeper Riley Stanger produced some outstanding saves in both halves, while solid defensive displays from Bethan Hardman, Kelsey Macarthur, Emma Overton, Saffron Bowen and Lorna Thomas helped ensure all three points returned to Barry.

Player of the match went to Manon Pearce for her outstanding performance in midfield.

The girls travel to Chepstow next week as they continue to climb the Division One league table.
