KARL Steel grabbed a hat-trick as St Athan remained top of the Premier Division following their 4-1 victory over Cowbridge Town, with Joe Laing notching the other.

Rhoose kept the pressure on the leaders as they trounced Island Marine 7-3 to stay a point off top, the goals coming courtesy of a Jordan Owen hat trick, Nick Good's double, Dave Bevan and Tom Webb, however, the looming shadow of FC Barry Belgrade continues to cast over the league. Belgrade, who didn’t play this weekend, now have five games in hand on St Athan and sit just five points behind.

In Division One, Cardiff Airport reduced Sully Sports' lead to seven points following a conclusive 3-0 win over Cwm Talwg, while Cogan secured their first win in four with a 2-0 victory over Cadoxton Atheltic to stay fifth.

Llantwit Major made it 12 out of 12 with a mammoth 9-2 win over Vale Madrid. Gethin Jennings bagged a hat trick, Andy Shaw a brace, with Lewis Brown, Glyn Davies, Lee Tracey and Luke Beattie adding the others. The win puts Llantwit eleven points clear but Cadoxton Barry do have two games in hand. BRT Dynamos went third as they edged out Barry Albion 1-0.

Next week, Rhoose host St Athan and Barry Athletic play FC Barry Belgrade in a super Saturday.
