RHOOSE AFC has scored a brand new waterproof training kit for the members of its under 8 side after Tarmac’s Aberthaw Cement Plant stepped in to pay for the gear.

Tarmac donated the money as part of its commitment to supporting the communities in which it works.

Natalie Thomas, who is involved at the club, said: "We have many youngsters involved in our club and this donation has helped provide the under 8’s with a brand new waterproof training kit.

"The team are delighted that Tarmac have provided the donation and are proud to wear kit carrying the company’s logo. We are very grateful for their support and are looking forward to the coming season.”

Chris Bradbury, Aberthaw Cement Plant manager, said: “We are committed to supporting the communities we serve in whatever way we can. We have close links with the community in Rhoose and it’s our pleasure to be able to provide the donation to the football team – we wish them every success in the future and look forward to following their success!”

The club welcomes children to take part in football training sessions full of activities, games and skills development each Thursday evening between 6:00-7:00pm at Ceri Road, Rhoose.
