LAST week on the most beautiful day, Sully Bowling Club again failed to convert home advantage into points with an narrow seven shot loss, but down on three rinks. Only a great win by Ben Curtis Trevor Murphy Huw Levic Jones and Dennis Edwards kept the side in the game 25-14, with Gareth John, John Hubbard Alen Thomas and Dave Curtis losing by two on a last end shoot out.

At ten ends it was 43 each but Llantwit Major pulled away to win 78-85.

Having played two league games but lost by two and seven respectively it doesn't look too bad but with only five points out of 28 it is not good and the selectors have a job on their hands to turn it around.

Wednesday was a much better story, playing Murch at home local friendships where renewed.

On the green two rinks up and an win by 73-61 was a good performance by a side half made up of new bowlers Ben Curtis Dave Davis Paul Neale Huw Levic Jones 37-9.

Doug Curtin, Steve Norris, John Best, Doug Hotchkiss last end win 15-13, Eddy Pryer, Garth Neadley Geoff Durham Mike Hardy 9-20 and Albert Kelly Bob Harvey Huw Thomas Dave Curtis 12-19.

This week Sully are at home to Dinas Powys on Wednesday and travel to Bargoed on Saturday with two rinks on Sunday in the Alun Martin Cup in Cowbridge.
