ON SATURDAY, September 17, Barry Town United Under-14s travelled to Sully to take on the Vipers.

The game started well with both sides having their chances but it was Barry Town to score first with Nile Chin working hard on the wing putting dangerous crosses into the Sully box when a cross hit a Sully defender and went in.

Sully continued to press but couldn't break down the Towns defence of Lewis Harding, Charlie Hansen Taylor, and McCauley Marks who were playing the ball out of the back and linking up with Ando and Morgan Hawkins.

Town were piling on the pressure and a mix-up in the box saw another deflection hit the net. The Town coaches made a change seeing Jake Westlake come on for the first time this season after another holiday replacing Morgan in the middle of the park.

It didn't take him long to get the ball out of his feet and fired a long range shot into the top corner. Sully kept going but it was Barry Town who were playing great football and creating chances.

Riley Allan was in the Town goal making some good saves. After the break and Jake Westlake managed to get his second of the game but Sully were putting more pressure on the Town scoring two quick goals themselves.

Barry Town made a change introducing Joeseph Rosser after a long and frustrating time with injury looking back to his old self, up and down the wing and managing to get a goal himself and then setting another up for Nile Chin.

The Town were now on top pressing Sully with Callum Hobbs chasing everything down and he got his reward with another goal for Barry.

The Town came out winning the game but Sully didn't stop and played some excellent football.

Man-of-the-match went to Jake Westlake. Everyone at Barry Town United Under-14s would like to wish Sully good luck with their season and the team would also like to thank their sponsors RIM Motors, Electro Heat and Amser Electrical.

Next up for Barry Town is Island Marine Blue at Mazlin Park on Saturday morning.
