NEWLY-named SP Billy took to the field on Saturday under new management to take on Glenbrook in the Vale of Glamorgan Football League.

Under new management, SP Billy started their season off well in terrible weather conditions, knocking the ball quickly around the field and creating chances.

Upfront were Franky and Chubb and with a well-worked goal by Franky, the team settled into the match.

Following the first goal, Ethan Shaw stepped up with the help of Drew Thomas and Ben Hill to land SP Billy's second.

John Knight in goals pulled off a great save to keep SP in the lead up to half-time.

In the second half Glenbrook came out fighting and nearly scored two quick goals. The back four of Scott Larsen, Christos Pateros, Richard Drew and Paul Palmer smothered any chances that Glenbrook had.

Franky then went on to score a second half hat-trick to seal a comfortable win of 5 - 0 to SP Billy.

The team wish to thank Dave and Jo of the King William for their hospitality after the match.
