IT WAS another super Saturday for Sully Cricket Club as both 1st and 2nd teams won.

The Spartans 1st team won their division with the victory over Hopkinstown by 152 runs.

Winning the toss Morgan elected to bat on a hard wicket.

Saeed Ali (28) and Bablu (57) opened the innings with an excellent opening partnership of 96 before Ali was well caught.

Bablu was well supported by Santosh (21) as they took the score to 142 for 2 before Santosh was bowled.

Bablu hit a four to reach his maiden Spartans 50 and added a further seven before being bowled for a superb 57.

Sathish (34) and Jacob P (32) took the score to 225 before both were out in a short period of time.

Skipper Morgan continued to push the score along assisted by Howe and several extras. When the last wicket fell with Morgan not out on 29 the score had reached 284.

In response the home side never challenged the Spartans as the title loomed close.

Hyder bowling his best spell of the season 2 for 16, supported by Saeed and Santosh with a wicket a piece, which kept the Valleys side at bay until man of the match Jacob P with 6 for 49 demolished Hopkinstown who were all out for 132, leaving the Spartans victors by 152 runs.
