THE sun shone at Jenner Park Athletics Stadium as Barry Comprehensive School students took part in their annual sports day.
Excellent attitude and effort was shown by boys from Years 7-10 competing from the four houses as they battled on the track, in the field and in the tug-of-war.
Due to changes at Jenner Park Stadium the customary javelin and discus events could no longer be held to many boys' disappointment, although the track was a constant buzz of activity and keen competition.
Staff officiated in all events while also running in a staff relay team, showing the boys how it’s done before the final events of the day.
A large number of pupils competed in a many events to gain valuable points for their house and extra kudos from the on looking staff and parents.
