PG10 Coaching have recently returned from Barcelona where the team took part in a football development opportunity at Barcelona FC.

Hundreds of players aged seven to 14 years old from across the Vale of Glamorgan, Cardiff and Swansea took part in this unique opportunity which involved linking in with Barcelona FC.

Players visited Barcelona’s Nou Camp 99,354 capacity stadium. the largest stadium in Europe, going pitch side in the changing rooms, lifting the European Champions league trophy and learnt about the culture and history of one the world’s greatest football clubs in the clubs official museum.

The players also attended a football educational visit to Barcelona academy and first team training ground where they watched the academy in action leaning about the Barcelona way as well as playing in development matches against local opposition.

One of the main highlights was watching live at the Nou Camp Barcelona versus Espanyol and seeing their heroes such as Messi Suraez and Neymar in action. The game ended 5-0 to Barcelona.

The players also visited the Olympic Village and Stadium as well as the other wonderful attractions in the city.

Speaking in Barcelona an PG10 spokesman said, "The Barcelona experience was a wonderful opportunity, not only for the children’s football development but also provided the young people with essential life skills and the opportunity to learn about different cultures in a fun sporting environment, these tours help inspire Welsh children and give them once in a lifetime opportunity to learn from top professional clubs and travel the world.”

Following on from the success PG10 have opportunities next season for children and young people in Ajax, Malaga, LA and Dubai.
