TWO pupils from Bryn Hafren Comprehensive School have won their first national caps playing for Wales in the Under-15 football team.
Year 9 pupils Grace Corne and Ruth Stanley were both selected for the team.
The girls played on April 1 against England and then faced Scotland and Ireland in The Bob Docherty Tournament.
As well as playing for the Bryn Hafren team, Grace and Ruth also play for the Vale and Cardiff County team. They are currently the Welsh County Champions for the 2015/16 season.
Mrs E Williams, head of PE said, “We are very proud of the girls footballing achievements and cannot wait to see their skills when they start GCSE PE in September.”
