LONG-SERVING Barry Town United goalkeeper Dan Bradley achieved his 100th clean sheet for the club at the weekend, as his side climbed to fourth in the Welsh League Division One with a clinical 3-0 win at Monmouth Town.

A penalty from Bobby Briers set Gavin Chesterfield's men on their way in the 22nd minute and although Monmouth did connect with Bradley's crossbar after the break, goals from Louis Feeley and Kareem Leigh made it three without reply for Barry; as they sealed another precious three points on their travels.

Bradley's milestone clean sheet ensured that the team's watertight defensive record continues on, with only two goals conceded in the league campaign thus far; one each against leaders Goytre and second-placed Cardiff Metropolitan.

This Saturday sees the Town travel to former Welsh Premier League adversaries Afan Lido, who recorded a remarkable 5-4 triumph at Aberbargoed Buds during their most recent outing. Kick-off at the Marston's Stadium is at 2.30pm.

In other news, last weekend was a busy one for the club across the region, with the Town's Under-12s picking up a win over Dinas Powys on Saturday morning and the Under-15s winners at Llantwit Major.

Sunday afternoon then saw the Under-19s defeat Cwmbran Celtic in their Welsh League Youth Division (East) season opener, with striker Bradley O'Loughlin notching a hat-trick in a stunning 6-3 win; while the senior ladies' team were knocked out of the FAW Women's Cup by Camrose.

Finally, the Town's new pan ability squads were well-supported at the weekend as they played their first friendlies of the season; the Barry teams earning two wins and a draw from their three matches against visitors RCT Tigers.
