SULLY Sports FC is appealing to find a voluntary coach who would be interested in starting up a girl’s football team for under 9s (school Years 3 and 4).

The team would also like to hear from parents with girls in Years 3 and 4 who would like to play football.

When they have successful recruited a coach they aim to get the girls training and playing during the course of the season.

Anybody interested does not have to have any previous football experience just the enthusiasm and commitment at providing a fun and safe environment for the girls to play football.

The coach would be fully supported by Sully Sports FC and would be expected to complete a two day football leaders coaching course, a one day first aid course ( both funded by the club) and attain a DBS certificate.

They already have teams and coaches in place at the U11s and U13s age group but have nothing in place for the younger age band. They are receiving enquiries from parents of girls in the U9s age band but have nothing in place to facilitate these girls who are keen to play football.

The club, based at Sully Sports and Social Club on South Road, boast excellent facilities and offer the opportunity for girls to enjoy playing regular football in a festival format every Sunday morning at this age group.
