FOLLOWING the huge success of last year's soccer school, organisers are delighted to announce the next round of soccer schools will be starting in September.

The venue will be Colcot sports hall and places are expected to go fast so book early to avoid disappointment.

The soccer school coaching program is structured to give all children football coaching in a relaxed and fun learning environment.

The programme has become a huge success where children are taught new skills and games whilst keeping them active and engaged.

The initial aim is to develop a child's social skills and team building, communication and health and fitness through fun football based activity.

Coaches are FA qualified and specialise in coaching young people, and all hold first aid and are CRB accredited.

As a result of everyone's hard work the football school managed a huge achievement over the last year by bringing through four teams to play in regular Saturday morning fixtures.

And it has produced some talented young players, at the same time they have also been coaching three to five-year-olds once again with some success.

The school is also trying to encourage more girls to come along to the training sessions as they currently only have a few female players.

Those girls who have taken up football enjoy the experience in the same way as the boys, with the soccer schools taking on children from three years old it ensures at by the time they are playing competitive matches, they have gained a huge amount of experience and the difference in football skills and ability is very plain to see.

However as coaches and parents there is one extremely important thing we must remember, training at the football school is always about the children having fun.

Please do not be disappointed by missing out on a great opportunity for your children, we have already taken a number of reservations, and obviously places are limited.

If you are interested in booking a place for your child you can contact the soccer school via face book by logging on to, Holton Road A.F.C alternatively you can contact our safeguarding officer at the following e-mail address stephenedmonds1963@btinternet.com
