BRYNHILL Ladies open was well attended by golfers from many clubs, Southerndown, Maesteg,Wenvoe, Pontnewydd, St Athan, Glamorganshire, Newport, Alice Springs and Dorset Golf and Country Club.
The weather was sunny and some excellent scores were recorded. The 15 ladies from Pontnewydd wrote to say how much they had enjoyed the course, the post golf food and presentation.
Winners were Sue Bounds, Di Davies and Linda Gershensen with 88 points.
Second were Carole Bumford,Trish Rowlands and Andrea Page with 83.
Third were Gemma Evans, Robbie Lee and Helen Coombes with 82.
Nearest the pin was Jo Hopkins and longest drive was Shirley Lewis.
