MILLWOOD playing against Barry Central gained their fourth win out of six in the Munro Cup.

This came after the defeat Millwood suffered last game against Dinas Powis.

The game was played in near perfect conditions, dry, sunny with just a slightly cool breeze.

Millwood adjusted to the green fairly quickly to build up a 12 shot lead after just four ends to lead 23 – 11, which after the ninth end had been played saw Millwood with a hefty 47 – 22 shot advantage.

When the 14th end had been played Millwood were in the lead by 26 shots with the score 65 – 39, to which another two shot increase resulted in the win for the visitors to take the game 81 – 53.

With rink two winning by 21 shots, that went a long way to sealing victory, but everyone played their part.

With this result Millwood picked up another 12 points by virtue of three winning rinks to add to their total, but having lost two games already, maybe they will be out of the running.

At the completion of the game all players enjoyed the facilities offered by Barry Central, and their thanks go to Central for the hospitality shown.

By the time this goes to print Millwood’s next Munro Cup game will be away to Murch on Wednesday, June 24.
