ON April 29, Helene Cooke organised a quiz night in memory of Adrian Cooke. Over £800 was raised to enable Helene to take part in a trek in Costa Rica in aid of Marie Curie Nurses.

April 21 GUW Challenge Bowls: silver winner Robbie Lee - 72 points, bronze winner Claire Herbert – 76 points.
April 28 Junior Gold Cup 4BBB: winners Olwen Thomas and Andrea Page – 53 points. Runner-up Jan Robertson and Sue Holland 44 points over back nine from Glynis Gould and Miggs Codd.
May 5 Bob Hope Rose Bowl: bronze winner Olwen Thomas – 39 points, Runner-up Jane Phillips 31 points.
