ST David's Day was celebrated at Brynhill Golf Club by the lady members and their guests.
The ladies' captain Mrs Glynis Gould had arranged an entertaining evening of dancing, led by Mrs Margaret Codd, singing conducted by Mrs Robbie Lee accompanied by Miss Liz Brown tinkling the ivories with the rafters ringing with the sound of 40 female voices.
A challenging quiz was devised by the quiz masters Doug Matthews and Simmo.
A beautiful Welsh cushion was donated for the raffle with Mrs Norma Phillips being the very happy winner.
The menu for the evening was in a Welsh theme with cawl and a sumptuous Welsh cheeseboard which was provided by Brynhill's resident chef Mr David Pereira.
Mrs Robbie Lee gave a vote of thanks to the ladies captain. An enjoyable evening was had by all and closed with a resounding rendition of the Welsh National Anthem.
