COLCOT Amateur Boxing Club hosted their annual show at Barry Island Sports and Social Club last Friday; dubbed the "rumble on the rock" and it was exactly that.

Having the opportunity to show off 11 of the home club's boxer's it was a successful night.

Special guest world title challenger Lee Selby was also there giving support to the club with his BBC camera team in tow.

Mr Selby was having pictures with the audience and signing autographs ahead of his world title fight in April.

A fantastically even matched night of boxing saw wins for six of Colcot's boxers but it was the last fight of the night that drew the biggest roar.

Colcot's Andrew Perry took on Mathew Powell from Bargoed ABC and nothing was left in the ring.

For three round's both boxer's had the crowd on its feet with the swaying back and forth of the victor looking to land that knockout blow.

But it was not to be with the fight going the distance much to the pleasure of the crowd.

Although there had to be a winner in this thrilling contest it was the Bargoed boxer to have his hand raised by a close split decision.

Colcot Boxing Club would like to thank all the generous sponsors who gave towards this fantastic evening and also Bro Radio presenter Deano and Eddie for supplying a great atmosphere hosting the event.
