WORLD Organisation of Martial Art Athletes (WOMAA) British Grand Prix Finals, where held in the Barry Memorial Hall hosted by master Mal Johns.

Having competed over the last 12 months in various ranking tournaments a number of students from the Cadoxton School of Taekwon-Do were in the mix for Grand Champions.

The grand prix series consisted of beginner less than one year’s training, advanced over one year’s training in all categories, traditional patterns, weapons point and continuous sparring. With points being awarded for every podium place and totalled up after the last tournament resulting in a series grand champion.

As usual the tournament started with traditional Patterns, then onto Weapons, Point and Continuous sparring, beginners, and advanced categories.

After a long day competing, five students from the Cadoxton Taekwon-Do School came away with 10 British WOMAA Grand Championship titles between them.

Maddison Allen, Continuous Sparring Grand Champion

Thea Cunningham, Continuous Sparring Grand Champion

Jessie Blackley, Point and Continuous Sparring Grand Champion

Cody Jacobsen, Weapons and Continuous Sparring Grand Champion

Lucia Cunningham, Patterns, Weapons, Point and Continues Sparring Grand Champion
