A COMPREHENSIVE win for the Pumas against Rhoose Athletic who got the points the last time they met in a 4-3 score line back in September.

Buoyed on after a great 2-2 draw the week before, the Pumas were looking to win this and that is exactly what happened.

A scrappy start from both sides was expected and it did just that, but the Pumas looked more likely to score going forward.

An unlikely source for the first goal with club captain Gino Cavaliere heading home from a corner, 2-0 followed shortly afterwards when Adam Godwin smashed home from inside the 18 yard box.

Now dictating the play, the Pumas took the lead further when team captain Trev Webb slotted home another goal.

Godwin scored again and then lethal striker Jamie Randall made it 5-0 and half time was upon them.

A rousing team talk from the Gaffers, Starzy and Parfitt put the Pumas in even better spirits and they went back out looking for more.

That happened soon enough when Randall got his second and his 29th of the season and Godwin completed his hat trick for 7-0.

Anthony Powell replaced Trev and James Evans replaced Lewis Froud.

The Pumas kept up their tempo and even looked to extend the lead but Rhoose keeper Adrian Ashton was not letting any more in and made a great save from dynamic Pumas midfielder Nat Hardy.

Plenty of chances for the Pumas and even a penalty miss from Randall all in the second half with the Pumas winning 7-0.

Man of the match was a hard one with both the Froud brothers and Mikey Loughman picking up the award.

Pumas line up: Fisher, B Froud, L Froud, Starr, Loughman, Cavaliere, Godwin, Hardy, Plowright, Webb, Randall, Powell and Evans.

The Pumas would like to wish Rhoose Athletic all the best for the rest of the season and thank you to the referee and the Tadross Inn for the after match food and drink.

Also many thanks to team sponsor RIM Motors for supplying the club with a lovely new kit.
