THE mini football section in the Vale of Glamorgan has grown so large in the past two years the number of venues on which to play is a major issue.
Introducing a year one to two year band for under 7's has seen this age group expand to over 30 teams. Parkwood Community Leisure has kindly allow the under 7's access to Barry Astro but this was getting very over crowded. Teams had to sit out and wait their turn.
After speaking with Mr Davies from Bryn Hafren Girls School they now have two venues for this age bracket.
At this age group they play 4v4 with a futsol ball with the aim being purely on fun and loads of touches of the ball.
The past weekend we saw Cogan, Dinas, Cadoxton, Cowbridge and FC Barry play the first games on the astro.
The feedback from players, coaches and parents was all very positive.
They all wish to say thank you to Mr T Davies and Bryn Hafren.
