Cadoxton v Rhoose - ML4
There were four overwhelming successes in this ML4 match on the all-weather green at Rhoose.
Two of the wins went in favour of both sides, with the aggregate going to the home side.
Howard Craven had the best result for Cadoxton with Howard Hellyar always giving them a good start from the lead position. The pressure was applied with constant back up from the other members of the four to restrict the opposition to just four winning ends.
Conversely, the rink skipped by Gordon Davies never came to terms with the green and managed just six successful ends, in their defeat.
Don Kuhnell skipped his rink to overthrow the home rink, with ample support from John Jones. There was also acceptable back up from Rob Byrnes playing his first game on an all-weather surface, and not forgetting the performance of David Evans to restrict the opponents to just seven winning ends.
The fourth rink was skipped by Kelvin Chedgzoy. This rink had more even play, except for a session early in the game when three ‘3’s and a ‘2’ were conceded on consecutive ends, by the visitors, and were never recovered.
