7:40am Thursday 11th October 2012 in Sport
YOUNG people from the Vale's Welsh-medium secondary school Ysgol Gyfun Bro Morgannwg recently took part in unique rugby sessions delivered by Australian rugby legend David Campese.
The opportunities, organised by Peter Griffiths of PG10 Coaching, were aimed at increasing participation in sport and helping leave a legacy in Welsh sport after the Olympics.
Children and young people of all abilities and ages were put through their paces by 1991 World Cup winner Campese, who made 101 appearances for the green and gold of Australia, scoring 64 tries.
He also gave tips on an active lifestyle and following the sessions, Campese provided a inspirational Q and A for the pupils.
Organiser Mr Griffiths said: "It was a fantastic opportunity for young people to be coached by one of the world’s greatest and most decorated rugby players.
"After the success of the Olympics, PG10 Coaching is committed to providing sporting opportunities for children and young people."
