THE season for the cutest team in the Vale Senior Soccer League started well with no reward but that all changed on Saturday when ABC comfortably beat a young, fit and quick Rhoose Rovers.

New signing and man of the match Stanar got his first start at the heart of the defence with old timer Disco Dave, and ABC welcomed back Raste Khan after six months on the sidelines into the heart of midfield with Jordan ‘Potter’ Ross.

Straight from the off ABC put the pressure on and forced the young stars of Rhoose into submission. Simon Chick was rewarded for a fantastic display with an early goal from a cleverly taken free kick from the 'Wand.' Shortly after Dom was taken out after quick feet in the box for Jordan to step up and place the ball into the bottom corner.

At this point ABC were camped out in the Rhoose half and, after another foul on Dom, Jordan notched his second of the game with a delightful curled free kick.

The second half started slowly with all three ABC subs used due to injuries to some of the fruity members of the team. Russ, Dobbo and Cox, who was booked for dissent, like Guy were a bit bullied by a very small member of the opposition. Simon 'The Beast' Colston finished the scoring after a fine team move.

Shout outs to the team for a clean sheet and hard work from start to finish. If this performance carries on throughout the season, surely a contender for the league!
