Draw a fair result as Tynny take on Dockers

TYNEWYDD 2 DOCKERS 2
TYNEWYDD went into their first Division 1 home match of the season looking to build on their solid opening day 4-1 victory away to the Pumas.
Coming up against a strong Dockers side who were making the most of their 2 team squad system, while the Tynny had to manage their squad missing a number of players through injury, holiday and work, it was the away side that started the better.
They were knocking the ball around and the Tynewydd defence had to do their best to stop the Dockers scoring early doors, with Christian Harding making a number of good saves.
It wasn't long before the pressure told when the Tynny failed to deal with a cleared corner and the Dockers centre back scored with a Yeboah-like finish.
It didn't take the Dockers long to double their advantage when their striker skipped past a couple of challenges and finished neatly into the bottom corner.
The Dockers didn't have it all their own way with the Tynny playing some decent attacking football themselves but failing to make the most of the chances they created.
Early into the 2nd half the Dockers were reduced to 10 men when their central midfielder was sent off in controversial fashion, yet it was the Dockers who had a golden chance to extend their lead further after a tangle of legs inside the box resulted in a penalty being awarded, which the striker failed to convert.
The miss seemed to spur the Tynny on and they were soon dominating play with the extra man, creating a host of chances. With 15 minutes to go, a lovely corner from Lewis Union was bravely headed in by Andrew Colburn, continuing his man of the match form from Saturday.
And it wasn't long before the Tynny drew level when subsitute Matthew Leighton whipped in a ball from the left and Jodie Shepherd powered in another header to make it 2-2.
Both sides will feel they could and maybe should have won the game so maybe a draw was the correct result.
Man of the Match went to Julian Brana, playing through injury and out of position at left back, who was solid all game and was like an extra winger on attacks.
