A BARRY girl is set to become the youngest British player to represent a club in the women’s Champions League when she is due to play for Premiership champions Cardiff Met in August in Ukraine.
Grace Corne, 15, started to play football in 2012 for Barry Athletic after she was spotted playing for Bryn Hafren Comprehensive School by Barry Town coach Luke Williams.
She represented Wales at U16 level in 2016 and in 2017 they won the Bob Docherty Cup, the first time they lifted the trophy.
Grace, who turns 16 next month, also played for Wales U17s in Demark in 2017.
She continued to play for Barry Town until last year when she was called up by Cardiff Met, making her the youngest player to play in the Welsh Premiership.
