BARRY Beavers are pleased to announce that they have been awarded a grant of £9,150 for their annual summer event of ‘Party in the Park’

This funding will secure the event for the forthcoming three years.

The money will allow the club to develop the event to bring a fantastic fun day to not only Barry Beavers members, but other regional disabled swimming clubs, by providing free transport for other clubs members, and free tickets.

Also the event is open to the public in the Vale, with tickets available at £3 each. Please contact the club's secretary Pat Finch on 07517 121729 for tickets and more details.

The club celebrated the award announcement, and arranged a photograph to mark the occasion.

Alun Cairns MP and Jane Hutt AM, both big supporters of Barry Beavers, attended to have a picture taken with a very excited bunch of the clubs swimmers and volunteers.

Barry Beavers would like to thank Nigel Willis (volunteer) for submitting the grant application, and The Big Lottery for understanding and supporting the great service the club offers to disabled members of the community.

Please get in touch if you have any family or friends who would benefit, from qualified instruction and support in swimming therapy for disabled people of any age.

Barry Beavers is a great fun place, with lots of activities for its members to enjoy.
