INTERNATIONAL football made its return to Jenner Park on Monday, as the ground hosted its first of three fixtures this week in Preliminary Round Group A of the UEFA Regions Cup; Europe's flagship competition for all-amateur players.

Having qualified by beating a North Wales Coast FA XI in April, the South Wales FA have been tasked with representing Wales and they began their Regions Cup campaign in fine fashion, defeating visitors FK Kozara of the Region of Gothenburg.

After an Adam Jenkins penalty put the Welsh side ahead in the fifth minute, goals from Jordan Evans, Christopher Colvin-Owen (2) and substitute Christopher Quick ensured an emphatic 5-0 win over the Swedes, in front of a crowd of over 400.

The South Wales team are back at Jenner Park on Thursday where they will entertain representatives of Macedonia in a 7pm kick-off, before rounding off their three-game series against Greeks Evia at 4pm on Sunday.

Admission for the upcoming UEFA Regions Cup fixtures will be £4 at the turnstiles, with concessions priced at £1.
