LAST Saturday Barry Athletic 1st XI entertained Cardiff Central on a warm sunny afternoon on The Island
They won the toss and batted first and found the going hard and made a total of 177 for 8 in their 50 overs, Lee Morgan getting 35 and some lusty blows in the last over from Anwar who scored 32 not out.
Arif 2-19 and Khan 2-21 were the best bowlers.
In reply Cardiff Central got 178 for 5 with Idris 80 and Gilliani 62 being the main scorers with John Gee showing a welcome return to form with figures of 3-19 in his 10 overs.
Barry Athletic 2nd XI travelled to Abergavenny and batted 1st scoring 130 all out with Andy Ellis top scoring with 41 and Thasan 17, Timpson 3-21 being the top bowler.
Abergavenny reached 132 for 4 with Hefferman 36 not out and Powell 30 being the main scorers with Sagara 2-22 being the best bowler.
This weekend Barry Athletic 1st XI will travel to Rogerstone with the 2nd XI at home to Rogerstone 2nd XI at The Island.
Both games a 12.30pm start.
